Ryan Schumi is a professional athlete who understands what it takes to perform at a high level.  As an athlete he has enjoyed the benefit of professionals coaching him and training him, with the focus often being: strength and agility training. Ryan now offers many of the same strength and agility training exercise programs to his youth athletes.

AGILITY: In sports, agility is often defined in terms of an individual sport, due to it being an integration of many components each used differently (specific to all of sorts of different sports).

STRENGTH: In sports, strength training can be targeted relative to an athletes specific position or task. Understanding an athletes objection allows his trainer to develop physical exercises specializing in the use of resistance to induce muscular contraction to build strength, anaerobic endurance, and size of skeletal muscles. When properly performed and targeted to an athletes specific needs, strength training can provide significant functional benefits and improvement in overall health and well-being.

The best exercises are those that do not simply focus on building muscle, but increase the agility and explosiveness with which you use them. Working on both of these facets of your fitness is the surest way to maintain a healthy body and drastically increase your performance in future activities.
